Ethiopia, Eritrea Would Work in partnership for Mutual Benefits of their People: President Isaias

Addis Ababa July 15/2018 Eritrean President Isaias Afewerki said the governments and people of Ethiopia and Eritrea will work together in partnership for the development of the peoples of both countries. President Isaias, who visited Hawassa, capital of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples region as part of his official state visit, said that "Ethiopians and Eritreans are one people living in two countries." Thus, Isaias called on peoples of both countries to work in collaboration to ensure peace and tranquility and realizing prosperity as well. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed emphasized on the cessation of war between the two countries and work hand in hand. President Isaias Afewerki has made his first visit to Ethiopia in more than two decades after the two countries agreed to end long-running border standoff flowing the visit of Premier Abiy Ahmed to Asmara last week. Upon his arrival in President Isaias has received a warm welcome by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy and hundreds of thousands residents of Addis Ababa. President Isayas esteemed the warm welcome he was given by Ethiopians describing it as “happiness difficult to describe.” “The world has to notice that history is in the making between our two countries and peoples,” he added. President Isaias has arrived in Addis Ababa on Saturday for a two-day state visit.
