HPR Approves Appointment of EBC Board Members

Addis Ababa March 21/2019 The House of People’s Representatives (HPR) has approved the appointment of board members of Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation today

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed nominated the candidates who were appointed by the HPR.

The new board members of Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation are:

1.  Fikadu Tessema – Chairperson

2.  Tefera Derbew – Member

3.  Ergoge Tesfaye – Member

4.  Yetnebersh Nigussie – Member

5.  Ustaz Abubeker Ahmed – Member

6.  Abdiwas Abdullahi – Member

Former board members, Merera Gudina and Kamila Junedi will continue serving in the board.

The appointment of the board members was approved by majority vote, 10 against and 28 abstentions
