MoU that Enables Ethiopians to Work in Sweden, Other European Countries Signed

Addis Ababa, August 29/2023 (ENA) A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that enables Ethiopians to work in Sweden and various other European countries was signed between the Ministry of Labor and Skills and the Sweden based Miljonbemanning company today.

The MoU inked by Labor and Skills State Minister Nigussu Tilahun and Miljonbemanning  CEO  Ali Khalil would enable the two sides to cooperate in skills training and facilitating job opportunities, it was learned.  

During the occasion, Labor and Skills  Minister Muferiat Kamil said the company has rich experience in training and enabling job seekers to acquire pertinent knowledge and skills to join markets in Sweden and other European countries. 


 

The minster stated that the MoU would help to produce competent manpower with the support of technology. 

Moreover, it is pivotal to facilitate legal employment of the Ethiopian youth overseas and will create new skills and reduce the illegal migration. 

According to the minster, the skill and knowledge given to citizens will not only help them to get jobs overseas but also prepares them for the domestic demand.  

Miljonbemanning Company Ethiopia Division Head, Binyam Fekadu said the company would provide training in various fields and facilitate jobs. 


 

He added that the company will also protect the safety of those citizens deployed in Sweden and other European countries.
