Foreign Ambassadors Arrive at Robe to Visit Bale Mountains National Park

Addis Ababa, April 24, 2025 (ENA) --- Ethiopia’s Ministry of Tourism organized a familiarization visit to Bale Mountains National Park as part of its continued efforts to showcase the country’s rich tourism potential to the international community.

Upon arrival at Waqo Gutu Airport, Robe, the diplomats were warmly received by local officials.

The visit brought together more than 20 foreign ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps based in Addis Ababa.

They were accompanied by State Minister of Tourism, Sileshi Girma.

Bale Mountains National Park, known for its unique wildlife, scenic highlands, and Afro-alpine ecosystems, is a UNESCO World Heritage nominee and one of the country's premier destinations for nature-based tourism.

The park and its surroundings are home to an extraordinary fauna and flora with an exceptional degree of endemism and in several cases they are the only remaining populations of globally threatened species across numerous taxonomic groups.
